Friday 7th august

It's Friday again!

This week was packed with all sorts of fun activities and other cool work, such as
tennis, wonder project and more! First of all, I will start with... 
 Production practice. At school, we are making a play. 
Each student has his/her own part in the play. My part is professor quadratic.
I have 2 lines, and would have preferred a couple more lines, or no lines, but I really like my part.
Next I will tell you about... Wonder Project! At school, we have an ambassador named Sihang coming in
 to teach us how to build a Rocket. so far, we are on module 2. (A.K.A unpack the rocket and safety.)
Now I will talk about... Cross country. Guess what? I got into cross country zones! 
my place in cross country in the school is 5th place, and the top 5 people in year 4, 5 and 6 got in.
Finally i will talk about tennis. We had tennis lessons on Wednesday and I was really bad at it. We had 
lots of tasks such as bouncing the ball around the court and bouncing the ball to each other.

Matriki day

Yesterday was matariki day. It was so fun. We did so much stuff!(we did 3 things.)
First,

 We made some matariki kites.

You need bamboo strips, paper and feathers. 

We made a base with the bamboo and then made a punch of paper patterned and put it on the base. 

Next, we went to bake some bread. 

First you get some water, next you get some self raising flour.

After that you mix it and put in a bunch of cooking oil.

After that, we went to do some stop motion.

We had to make it about a maori story. 

My story was mori and the sun.

Cross Country!

Cross Country Wk 12

O.M.G! Yesterday was cross country! We did lots of games activities and more.

10:00, we headed off toward the chill station. 

there, we played on the playground. on the playground, we played cheat.

Next, at 11:00, we went to play tennis. me and marcus hit the ball to each other a total of 115 times!!!!

soon, at 12:00, we went over to the handball place.

I played handball with marcus and nigel.

I think this part was my fave.

after, at 1:00, we played something called blindfold. 

you buddy up and one of you puts on a blindfold.

then, you guide your partner to a bean bag that is on the floor and you have to tell them to pick it up. 

if you touch a hula hoop, you have to go back to the beginning.

after some of that, we went to the 5 place, where we sit and watch cross country. 

(we did races in order from 0/1 2 3 4 5 6.) we watched and cheered for the passersbys. 

I think this was kinda boring, but next, was our race!

soon, we were at our last station! lining up on the start line waiting for the signal.

Bang! we were off, with Daiki running past us all, I dropped down to about 4th place.

 after my first lap of the school, I was almost dead. halfway around the second lap, I was close on TJ's heels. we were rounding the last corner, i put in my last bit of energy, but TJ came 3 and I came 4th.

Reading Week 10

This week, we did lots of reading. 

some of our reading was our work site, called the syndicate site. 

we have our maths, reading, cybersmart and writing.

on our reading site, we have 4 activities, which change every week, 

if you are wondering there are 5 days of school, 

and only 4 activities, we go with the teacher and read 1-2 times a week.
sometimes, we get a youtube video, 

or sometimes we get a kahoot.

we have a lot to do during the week, and if we finish early, we use fast finishers.

a fast finisher is something that we do when we finish early, 

some of them are wonderopolis, kiwi kids news, national geographics and wicked.

One activity from this week that I did was a youtube video on the site.

(click on youtube to veiw!) it is about racism. A girl who is african american is talking about how racism is not ok. sometimes people are really mean to people with dark skin. Others don't let darker people

get a job or make them pay more money for food. it is really harsh and it is getting worse in other

countries. A little while ago, a African American was killed by a European because they had different races. The girl on the youtube video also talked about her ancestors being criticized as well.

Week 9! Creative Writing

WEEK 9!

Wow! Today is the last day of week 9!

week 9 was an amazing week, packed with all sorts of fun stuff.

The only thing we did not do is a slideshow to record our work.

But we did heaps of stuff, like P.E, reading, writing and maths.
What I would like to share is a thing called creative writing.
We made a story based on an image.

Week 8!!!

Woohoo! Today is friday of week 8! 

We did so much this week! 

We did some blogging (like I am doing right now)

We did commenting on others blogs and all sorts of other things.
Again we recorded all of our work on a slideshow.

week 7!!!

today was the last day of week 7. the week was filled to the top with cool games and activities.

some of the activities are lots of work, pe, art and science.

we recorded all pf the work we did on a slideshow called lockdown creations.
